6. The Towers
The Towers is a large mansion that was once an exquisite
structure posing elegantly on one the second highest valued street in London.
Currently, it is a mock-Georgian edifice that is lying in ruins with its
ceiling coming down and it’s inside and outside becoming similar to each other
with branches, limbs and creepers growing on them. The structure looks more
like an abandoned castle located far, far away in a desert or a secluded place.
5. Redcroft
Billionaires surely hold a lot of pool parties for their
guests and Redcroft was once a graceful mansion that hosted such grand and
palatial parties for the rich. Today, the structure is disintegrating and
covered in molds and weeds. The mansion has now gone beyond repair and would
require one to level and rebuild it until it becomes capable of hosting such
grand parties for the rich again.
4. The Georgians
The Georgians is yet another mansion on the Bishops
Avenue in London that is left to decay by its owner. The mansion was once an
elegant and beautiful structure that was owned by the Saudi Arabia Royal
Family. The curtains, as seen in the picture, were once a piece of adornment
and a symbol of wealth and elegance. However, they are now rotting in the sun
while the ceiling slowly gives in piece-by-piece. A well-known developer Anil
Varma refers to these mansions on the avenue as “the most expensive wastelands
in the world”.
3. Refurbished Heath
Hall On The Market- $168 Million
The Health Hall is one of the most expensive properties
on the Bishops Avenue in London as of its recent listing. The mansion that was
originally built for Tate and Lyle, the sugar magnates, is currently quoted at
$168 million, the highest in the UK real estate market. Ever since the Bank of
China owned it in the 50’s, this property has been left in disrepair. Later, it
was owned by Andreas Panayiotou who also refurbished it. The large mansion
encompasses over 14 bedrooms, six reception rooms, a wine cellar, a cinema and
a panic room. Now that is something we would surely love to see in person,
wouldn’t we?
2. International Owners
Billionaires are international owners and have estates
all over the world. But, with so many estates on their name, it practically
becomes impossible to look after every structure and they are left to decay and
rot alone. It is just like having a closet full of clothes or having something
in abundance that you yourself forget what you own. The mansions on Bishop’s
Avenue tell the same story, they have been neglected by their owners for years
yet are still making huge money.
1. Bishop’s Avenues
Other Properties
Now have a look at this gorgeous palace; an elegant,
sophisticated, cozy and stunning mansion that is owned by property mogul
Hourieh Peramaa. It definitely makes us feel that this is the way a mansion
should look! Located on the same avenue in London where there lies a row of
large, neglected and shattered mansions, this is something truly gorgeous. The
mansion was formerly named Royal Mansion that was later transformed into this
contemporary palace by the owner. Now that is what we expect from a
billionaire’s mansion!
