DPR collected N30billion illegally - Gov. Oshiomole suggests

Oshiomole, who was a guest at a seminar organized by the Post-Mortem sub-committee of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) yesterday July 29th , alleged that the Department of Petroleum Resources collected N30 billion illegally during the last administration .. "Chairman, you must compel the DPR to refund the money. Edo state will pursue its own share of that money because we have not authorized the DPR to take it. And we have the right to go to court if it is not done because for me I want to die for something and not for nothing because I know I will die. DPR’s budget as I understand is about N4 billion annually and in one month illegally they have deducted 4 per cent from certain accruals from royalties among others amounting to over N2 billion. If your annual budget is about N4 billion and you collect over N2 billion in one month which means in a year you are going to collect close to between N24 and N30 billion where your total expenditure is not more th...

Tompolo commends Pres. Buhari on Amnesty Programme boss' appointment

Leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Government Ekpemupolo, popularly called Tompolo, has commended President Buhari for appointing Brig. Gen. Paul Boroh (retd.) as the new coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. In a statement he released yesterday July 29th, Tompolo said he was happy that the position was not handed to a political jobber .. "It could be recalled that I called a meeting of ex-agitators, leaders and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta last week as a result of the pressure on me to intervene in the seemingly troubled Amnesty Programme, due to the non-payment of the stipends and allowances to beneficiaries for months now. And so, it gives me joy for the President to appoint a high-ranking retired military gentleman to coordinate the programme rather than any of the political jobbers, who had advertised themselves in very negative forms in order to be appointed.”he said LIKE US Photos: El Rufai g...

Why Detroit has the largest satanist temple chapter in the US

The "largest public satanic ceremony in history" took place last Saturday in Detroit, a city that has the largest and oldest chapter of a national Satanist organization.  The group unveiled a nearly 9-foot tall bronze statue of a goat-headed Baphomet in a private ceremony attended by 600 ticket holders, Lucien Graves, co-founder of the national Satanic Temple organization in Boston. The Satanic Temple in Detroit has more than 200 registered members. "They are so active and well-organized," Graves said. "There's probably been another wave of interest since this event."  The Detroit chapter is the first of the national organization, Graves said. He credits the Detroit chapter's founder Jex Blackmore with the growth of the chapter since it was established there in August 2014. "It's more or less because of her. She was just a very confident person who started working with us," Graves said further. The pair...
